UK: Royal Mail suspends Click & Drop following data breach

Royal Mail issued, on 1 November 2022, a series of statements on its Click & Drop status website regarding issues with access to its Click & Drop function and orders not showing for users. In particular, Royal Mail stated that upon investigating the issue, it had been made aware that some customers had been able to see other customers' orders due to a technical problem, which led Royal Mail to halt access to Click & Drop temporarily and propose alternative modes of action for customers. Notably, Royal Mail, in its last status update from 1 November 2022, specified that the issue with Click & Drop has been fixed and that the service has been restored, noting that the root cause of the issue is now under investigation.
