South Korea: PIPC announces new disciplinary recommendations for PIPA violations
The Personal Information Protection Commission ('PIPC') published, on 1 December 2022, Announcement No. 2022-66, regarding the PIPC's new proposed disciplinary recommendations for violations of the Personal Information Protection Act ('PIPA') ('the Proposal'). In particular, the PIPC mentioned that interested parties can submit their comments on the Proposal via email to [email protected] by 8 December 2022, after which the PIPC will issue a finalised version of the Proposal.
