Slovenia: Personal Data Protection Act published in Official Gazette
The Personal Data Protection Act ('ZVOP-2') was published, on 27 December 2022, in the Official Gazette, having been adopted by the National Assembly of the Republic of Slovenia on 15 December 2022. In particular, the ZVOP-2, which implements the General Data Protection Regulation (Regulation (EU) 2016/679) ('GDPR') into Slovenian law, will enter into effect on 26 January 2023, thereby replacing the existing Personal Data Protection Act 2004.
