The Chamber of Deputies of Romania announced, on 15 December 2022, that the Draft Law on the Protection of Whistleblowers in the Public Interest, was referred to the President of Romania for promulgation. In particular, the Chamber of Deputies highlighted that, following the request for re-examination by the Law Commission, on 13 December 2022, the draft law was adopted by the Chamber of Deputies, and that, thereafter, was submitted to the General Secretary for the exercise of the right of referral on the constitutionality of the draft law.
