Norway: Datatilsynet announces investigations concerning use of Google Analytics
The Norwegian data protection authority ('Datatilsynet') published, on 26 January 2022, that it is currently investigating a case concerning the use of Google Analytics. Moreover, the Datatilsynet noted that European Data Protection Supervisor has also made a decision, similar to the decision of the Austrian data protection authority on the use of Google Analytics, which concluded that the transfer of personal data by Google Analytics was illegal. In particular, the Datatilsynet provided that it has not made a final decision in this investigation.
