Jordan: Ministry releases draft regulations and instructions of the Personal Data Protection Law for public consultation
On February 16, 2024, the Ministry of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship (the Ministry) announced the release of the draft regulations and instructions of the Personal Data Protection Law No. 24 of 2023 (the Law) for public consultation. In particular, the Ministry released the following documents:
- security, technical, and organizational measures instructions;
- personal data protection record instructions;
- personal data protection council instructions;
- data disclosure system;
- licensing and permits system;
- unit's mechanisms and procedures system; and
- rights of the data subject system and pre-approval and withdrawal procedures.
