Italy: Garante publishes information sheet on protection tools available to data subjects
The Italian data protection authority ('Garante') announced, on 6 December 2022, via LinkedIn, that it had published an information sheet on its website illustrating the characteristics, differences, and methods of use of the instruments of protection available to data subjects under the General Data Protection Regulation (Regulation (EU) 2016/679) ('GDPR') and the Personal Data Protection Code, Containing Provisions to Adapt the National Legislation to the GDPR ('the Code').
In particular, the information sheet provides instructions to data subjects on how to submit a report, as per Article 144 of the Code, or how to lodge a complaint, as per Article 77 of the GDPR and Articles 141, 142, and 143 of the Code.
You can read the announcement here and the information sheet here, both only available in Italian.
