Ireland: Parliament publishes final amendments to whistleblowing bill

The Houses of the Oireachtas ('the Parliament') published, on 23 June 2022, final amendments to the Protected Disclosures (Amendment) Bill 2022 as part of the report stage of the legislative progress. In particular, the amended bill follows from the Senate's examination of recommendations put forward during the committee, stage which had taken place on 25 May 2022.

Following completion of the report stage, which is expected to be completed by 28 June 2022, no further amendments to the bill may be tabled, and the bill will be presented for voting before being passed by the Parliament and signed into law.

You can read the amended bill here and the Senate debate here, and track the progress of the bill here.
