International: Google issues statement on third-party cookies

Google LLC issued, on 3 March 2021, a statement regarding third party cookies, outlining that once third-party cookies are phased out, Google will not build alternate identifiers to track individuals' browsing activities across websites, and will not use alternate identifiers in their products. In addition, the statement notes, among other things, that Google and its web products will instead be powered by privacy-preserving application programing interfaces which prevent individual tracking while still delivering results for advertisers and publishers.

The Interactive Advertising Bureau Canada ('IAB Canada'), IAB UK, and the US Network Advertising Initiative ('NAI') have issued statements on the same.
