International: CAHAI launches multi-stakeholder consultation on AI

The Council of Europe announced, on 30 March 2021, that the Ad hoc Committee on Artificial Intelligence ('CAHAI') is now preparing the elements of a legal framework on the design, development and application of artificial intelligence ('AI') based on Council of Europe's standards on human rights, democracy and the rule of law. In particular, CAHAI has launched a multi-stakeholder consultation to gather the views of a broad range of institutional representatives (not individuals) on some key issues arising in the aforementioned areas. In addition, CAHAI noted that the aim of the consultation is to help the CAHAI Legal Frameworks Group, which is in charge of preparing the main elements of this future legal framework, by informing its choices based on the feedback that will be collected during the consultation.

You can participate in the consultation here. The consultation is open until 29 April 2021, 6 pm.
