Germany: DSK concludes 102nd conference

The German Data Protection Conference ('DSK') issued, on 25 November 2021, a press release on the 102nd conference held on 24 and 25 November 2021. In particular, the DSK established the Research Data Task Force, whose task will be to ensure a rapid response to the concerns of sponsors and researchers, and to guarantee a concerted application of data protection in the context of research projects in the health sector.

In addition, the DSK discussed the status of the implementation of the Online Access Act of 14 August 2017 and the Register Modernization Act of 28 March 2021. Lastly, the DSK adopted a resolution on the possibility of not applying technical and organisational measures pursuant to Article 32 of the General Data Protection Regulation (Regulation (EU) 2016/679) ('GDPR') at data subject's request.

DSK publishes minutes of 102nd conference

The DSK published, on 24 January 2022, the minutes of the 102nd conference. In particular, the minutes, among other things, report the discussion on disapplying technical and organisational measures at the request of the data subject, and on the adoption of guidelines on the processing of employee's data in connection with COVID-19.
