Germany: Bundestag adopts law on protection of public during Coronavirus

The Federal Ministry of Health ('BMG') announced, on 14 May 2020, that the German Parliament ('Bundestag') had adopted the Second Law for the Protection of the Population during an Epidemic of National Importance ('the Law'). In particular, the Law provides that laboratories must now also notify negative test results and potential areas of infection to health authorities. In addition, the Law stipulates that the relevant data shall be anonymised before the transfer.

You can read the press release here and the draft version of the Law here, both only available in German.
