The Danish data protection authority ('Datatilsynet') announced, on 28 September 2022, that it had set up a new committee focused on the processing of personal data for research purposes. In particular, the Datatilsynet stated that the committee, which shall include invited members, will discuss challenges and find solutions to issues surrounding the processing of personal data. To this end, the Datatilsynet noted that it will be holding meetings where members will be informed of its current work in the field of research and will have the opportunity to provide input on the same. Specifically, the Datatilsynet stated that it will hold its first meeting on 29 September 2022, and meet twice a year thereafter.

Furthermore, the Datatilsynet listed the invited members, which include, the Ministry of Justice, the Health Data Agency, Statistics Denmark, Danish Business Authority, and Danish universities.
