Croatia: AZOP announces data leak affecting 1M natural persons

On May 27, 2024, the Personal Data Protection Agency (AZOP) announced a data leak affecting one million natural persons, who are vehicle owners. Additionally, the AZOP noted that it is carrying out supervisory procedures to determine the circumstances of the breach and the manager of the database.

AZOP identifies Croatian Insurance Bureau as controller

On July 5, 2024, the AZOP announced that it identified the Croatian Insurance Bureau as the controller of personal data processing. The AZOP stated that it is conducting further supervisory proceedings and will provide additional information to the public after the investigation.
