House Bill 5249 for an Act Concerning Minors and Digital Privacy was introduced, on 17 January 2023, to the Connecticut General Assembly and referred, on the same date, to the Joint Committee on General Law. In particular, the bill would establish that the general statutes be amended to prohibit the collection and commercial use of digital consumer data and personally identifying information concerning minors.
