China: TC260 announces encryption algorithm on stream ciphers released as international ISO/IEC standard

The National Information Security Standardisation Technical Committee of China ('TC260') announced, on 15 September 2020, that its Information Technology - Security Techniques - Encryption Algorithm Part 4: Stream Ciphers Amendment 1, was released as an international standard ISO/IEC 18033:4. In particular, TC260 highlighted that the standard mainly regulates China's ZUC sequence cipher. Moreover, TC260 noted that the standard promotes the improvement of the international standard system of commercial cryptographic algorithms in China, which is of great significance to the development of China's commercial cryptography industry.
