On July 16, 2024, the California Privacy Protection Agency (CPPA) voted to support Senate Bill 1008 and to further authorize staff to support the bill, even if it is amended. The CPPA also authorized staff to remove support or oppose the bill if, in the staff's discretion, the bill's amendments are no longer consistent with objectives.
