California: CPPA to hold board meeting on actions regarding CCPA regulations and other preliminary rulemaking
The California Privacy Protection Agency ('CPPA') announced, on 23 January 2023, that it will hold, on 3 February 2023, a board meeting and released the agenda for the same. In particular, the CPPA noted that the board meeting will discuss, among others:
- possible actions regarding the proposed regulations under the California Consumer Privacy Act of 2018 ('CCPA'), including their possible adoption or modification; and
- preliminary rulemaking activities for the new rules on risk assessments, cybersecurity audits, and automated decision-making.
