Assembly Bill 947 California Consumer Privacy Act of 2018: California Privacy Protection Agency was amended on, 6 March 2023, and thereafter referred to the Committee on Privacy and Consumer Protection. In particular, the bill has been renamed Assembly Bill 947 California Consumer Privacy Act of 2018: Sensitive Personal Information and would add personal information that reveals a consumer's citizenship or immigration status to the definition of sensitive personal information under the California Consumer Privacy Act (as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act of 2020) ('CCPA as amended').
