California: AG seeks to overturn preliminary injunction blocking Age Appropriate Design Code Act

On October 18, 2023, the California Attorney General (AG), Rob Bonta, announced the filing of a notice of appeal to overturn the preliminary injunction against the California Age-Appropriate Design Code Act, granted by the U.S. State District Court for the Northern District of California San Jose Division.

In this regard, the AG stated that "[T]he district court decision is wrong," adding that the notice of appeal seeks to "[...] defend California's first-in-the-nation children's online safety law [...]."
