Brazil: ANPD announces content restrictions on its website during election period until October 2022

The Brazilian data protection authority ('ANPD') announced, on 30 June 2022, that it will implement some visual changes and restrict the content of its websites and official social networks from 1 July 2022 to 2 October 2022, which may be extended until the 30th of October as a result of the 2022 election closure period in Brazil. In particular, the ANPD confirmed that such changes will mean that only information that is news, or of an informative and general public utility nature, will be accessible, and that news prior to 1 July 2022 will no longer be shown on the website temporarily. Finally, the ANPD noted that its profiles and pages on social networks will be temporarily deactivated in order to ensure that their contents will not be accessible until the end of the electoral closure period.

All contents will be released again after the end of the closure period.
