Algeria: ARPCE publishes decision harmonising specifications for establising telecoms and cloud computing services
The Algerian Regulatory Authority for Post and Telecommunications ('ARPCE') published, on 11 December 2019, its decision ('the Decision') which harmonises specifications on the establishment and operation of telecommunications services including internet and cloud computing service providers, which are subject to authorisation pursuant to Law No. 18-04 of 24 Chaâbane 1439 corresponding to 10 May 2018 ('the Post and Telecommunications Law'). In particular, the Decision repeals, among other things, the provisions of Executive Decree No. 15-320 of 1 Rabie EL Aouel 1437 corresponding to 13 December 2015, that are contrary to the Post and Telecomnmunications Law.
