Argentina: AAIP publishes Resolution on poster to be placed in places with video surveillance

On February 6, 2024, the Argentinian data protection authority (AAIP) published a new poster that must be placed in places where digital images are collected through video cameras in pursuance of the Personal Data Protection Act, Act No. 24,326 of 2000 (the Act). In particular, the AAIP noted that the requirement is to ensure that citizens have easy access to the contact information of the data processor of the place where digital images are collected and the communication channels within the AAIP to make queries or complaints.

Furthermore, the AAIP published Resolution 38/2024 that updates the design of the poster to emphasize the presentation of the name, address, website, email, and telephone number of the data controller so that people can exercise their rights of access, rectification, update, and deletion of their personal data.

You can read the press release here, the Resolution here, and the poster here, all only available in Spanish.
