Oman: MTC signs MoU for developing emerging technologies in logistics sector
The Ministry of Technology and Communications ('MTC') announced, on 23 February 2020, that it had signed a Memorandum of Understanding ('MoU') with ASYAD Group to leverage information and communications technology to develop Oman's logistics sector. In particular, the MoU aims at using emerging technologies, including artificial intelligence and Internet of Things, to accelerate the growth of the logistics sector and other economic sectors. In addition, the MoU aims at facilitating Oman's trade regionally and internationally.
