Mauritius: FSC publishes communique on signing of Administrative Arrangement for transfer of personal data
The Financial Services Commission of Mauritius ('the FSC') published, on 30 September 2021, a communique announcing that it has signed the Administrative Arrangement for the transfer of personal data between European Economic Area ('EEA') Authorities and non-EEA Authorities. In particular, the communique notes that the Administrative Arrangement has been added to the Master List of Appendix B signatories published on the International Organization of Securities Commissions ('IOSCO') website. In addition, the communique outlines that the purpose of the Administrative Arrangement is to provide safeguards for the transfer of personal data from European Union IOSCO authorities to non-EU IOSCO authorities.
Lastly, the communique notes that the signature of the Administrative Arrangement by the FSC depicts its commitment to adhere to international standards pertaining to data protection.
